Solar-Powered
Additive Manufacturing

What if sunlight could become a manufacturing tool? Concentrated Solar Energy (CSE) can provide a high-power thermal source for additive manufacturing and advanced materials processing. By concentrating a globally available, renewable, and freely accessible energy source, extremely high power densities can be achieved, enabling rapid thermal processing of metallic materials in just minutes. From solar debinding and sintering of MEX-printed components to the direct processing of metallic powder beds, this technology opens new opportunities for more energy-efficient, sustainable, and flexible manufacturing on Earth and, potentially, beyond it, wherever solar energy is available.
